“We are the girls with anxiety disorders, filled appointment books, five-year plans. We take ourselves very, very seriously. We are the peacemakers, the do-gooders, the givers, the savers. We are on time, overly prepared, well read, and witty, intellectually curious, always moving… We pride ourselves on getting as little sleep as possible and thrive on self-deprivation. We drink coffee, a lot of it. We are on birth control, Prozac, and multivitamins… We are relentless, judgmental with ourselves, and forgiving to others. We never want to be as passive-aggressive are our mothers, never want to marry men as uninspired as our fathers… We are the daughters of the feminists who said, “You can be anything,” and we heard, “You have to be everything.”— Courtney Martin (via creatingaquietmind)
“You used to be able to drive across America and every town would have a little junk shop, and you’d go in there and you could find some weird old book or something that you’d never heard of, and that would lead to you seeking out other stuff. You used to have this sense that if you just kind of drove off the freeway a little bit, you’d run into some interesting little pockets of culture. And now you’re just gonna see another Applebee’s or whatever.”—Daniel Clowes (via thelovelanguage)
“Your handwriting. The way you walk. Which china pattern you choose. It’s all giving you away. Everything you do shows your hand. Everything is a self portrait. Everything is a diary.”—Chuck Palahniuk (via csdollface)
thats how i wouldve been :o i wouldve been really awkward but like fangirling because as i fangirl over musicals i also do so on people on tumblr because its a miracle whenever i see someone in real life from here! also considering the chances of us actually meeting :o & really? that sounds so cute, you must be very close to the arnolds :D i actually saw annie too! but it was the other cast, my friend kelly played annie! and i wished i could have saw abby, she's such a good singer like hannah!
I am publishing this because YAY. Oh and how was Kelly? I wanted to see that cast too, but I only really know Kelly through Abby so I didn’t wanna y’know… be a total creep. :P
You know how they tell you in high school that it’s better to focus on one or two things than to do every extra-curricular you can? What happens when, as an adult, your interests undoubtably shift and change, but you have no experience in most areas because you were too busy tunnel-visioning your future when you were a student? Huh? Huh?!
You may be knowledgable/experienced in one area, but you suck at all the others, and the others are the ones that now matter to you. Uh oh.
